I mean think about it. Life's too short to take it seriously anyway.
And if you live life like you're afraid to die then when you die,
you'll realize you haven't live at all or something like that. (I'm trying to sound smart so bear with me.)
Or by the time you're through, you'll just look like an old hag. Seriously. You don't wanna live life looking like that.
This is err, a place I call home. My comfort zone.
A place where I can do stuff without anyone nagging me about it.
Here in a loosey-goosey environment, I write. I listen. I speak. I draw.
I curse. I play. I flirt. I dance. I party. I try to entertain. I...
just do. 'Coz I want to. And you can't do anything about it.
Well, what are you doing here? Believe it or not, destiny have brought you here little one..(and serendipity perhaps?)
Everything happens for a reason. At this very moment. YOU should be here. "COINCIDENCE happens."
Since you are here just the same, please take the time to look around. I'm sure you'll find something interesting to read or look at. This thing you are reading right now won't tell you what I'm all about. See the pictures below?! (..those are navigational things and have some purpose) So use your mouse to accomplish something..
And, oh yeah.. Make the most out of your stay
Welcome.

Older but Not Wiser
It's 2 am in the morning and I'm still awake. While I stare into my laptop, a few thoughts run through my head.
My current US trip has been an eye-opener for me. I've been on road trips. Got to see a lot of places. Met some cool people. And most importantly, I learned a lot. You get so wrapped up in your own little small world that you don't really notice that there's just so much out there. You're like a small piece in this big puzzle called life.
So while I try to age gracefully, here's what I wrote a year ago when I turned a year older.
----------------------------------
"What you do in life echoes in eternity."
Yet another year added to my age.
Thoughts began one summer night in Puerto Gallera; accompanied by San Miguel, Mindoro Slings, bags of chips, sitting in a candelit circle, observing, thinking, wishing, and wondering. I stared blankly to the sea.
I have never ceased to wonder at the ironies that life brings. Sure life is complicated. But if you know where to look, there is beauty everywhere in the simple joys that life brings.
Away from the deafening sound of the drums and bass, I stood up and walked to another part of the beach. Near the shore where the waves hit the rocks violently, new life was about to be given.
I saw a small tree being furiously blown by the wind. Walking further, I saw a baby bird stretching its wing and attempting to fly but unable to do so. Life was beginning for both species and nature was their main obstacle in accomplishing their goal.
Fate dealt us the cards of life that we have to play with. Is the innocent child peddling her wares happier than the tanned, two-piece swimsuit wearing chinita dancing to the beat of the drum? Or the drunk, muscular guy sleeping on the sand more content that the frail, old woman giving oil massages to a Korean traveler?
I can't help but feel a sense of belonging. In a way, I could relate to everything I see. Growing up, I've faced a lot of trials and obstacles. I was a graduate of one of the country's best universities. My family had more than our share of hard times. Born the eldest, I was always told by my parents that education was the only thing they could give me. So I did my part and got a scholarship in order to help out. Like a young bird stretching its wings for the first time, I was ready to face the real world.
Uncertain and afraid of the challenges that lay ahead, the real world taught me a lot of things. When I started working, it felt like a small tree being blown away by this harsh wind. Intrigues, jealousy, deadlines and pressure plagued me day in and day out.
But someone was always there for me. His light always shines through the darkness. God always had my back. He has given me a lot of blessings that I have lost count. Whenever I feel down and out, I just remember His goodness and grace to me and I would feel a whole lot better. Everything I have accomplished is for His glory.
So what have I learned so far?
Live life to the fullest and always try out something new. Diversity of life experience is vital to one's existence. Experience God. Inject some spirituality into your life. It enriches the soul. Have a lifelong commitment to fitness. Expert a craft or hobby. When in pain, always remember that suffering is fleeting, but the lessons learned are lifelong. Be a well-rounded individual. Always improve your cerebral self. Love God. Love your family. Love your friends. Love yourself. Love your job. Forgive. Pray. Live. Love. Learn. Teach. Plant a tree. Write a book. Leave your legacy.
Oh, and learn from children. Their innocence towards the world can teach us something once in a while.
I am no different than the folks I've met at the beach. I also had my share of the fun. Dancing and drinking. I also work hard to earn a living. I also have the same dreams and hopes of making my family happier and improving my economic situation in life. Their dreams, aspirations, emotions are also same as mine. They might not be exactly the same but in a way rooted on the need of wanting to lead a decent life.
A fail to plan is a plan to fail. We need to understand better our own humanity and live a closer life with our Father in heaven who created us.
Morning came and all that was left of that night were empty beer bottles and cigarette butts. As I return to the chaos of the city, I can't help but notice in the distance, a young bird is starting to fly into the horizon while the tree stands tall in the glory of the sunrise.
Mr. Poe is a paradox. He is young yet he is old. That is from his age and his responsibilities.
He has a day job and what does he do at night? Nobody knows yet.
Whether he is a Casanova, a dead ringer for a celebrity, or a ninja, only a few people will know.
Sometimes he can be generally boring or a walking time bomb. Spontaneous.
Some sources thinks he is like a riddle and he to likes being mysterious with that poker face of his.
And he likes it that way. If he is inspired or compelled by necessity, he likes to and writes forgettable pieces of poetry and songs or draw undecipherable works of garbage err.. arts.
Otherwise, the rest of his time is consumed by web design, painting, and sports.
Apathy. That's what he feels most of the time but wants to go to heaven. Still Optimistic.
He still believes he is a prodigy and secretly hopes he has traces of the Godfather, Beatles, and Da Vinci in his soul.

It depends really. Sometimes just a cup of coffee or a slice of pizza will do the trick.
All you have to do is ask. Simple enough?
